Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)
WICHE's student exchange programs WICHE operates three Student Access Programs that together saved 45,000+ students $451+ million in 2019-20. Each program supports one of three educational niches: undergraduate, graduate, and professional health care studies.
The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is an agreement among WICHE’s 16 member states and territories, through which 160+ participating public colleges and universities provide steep nonresident tuition savings for Western students.
Through WUE, eligible students can choose from hundreds of undergraduate programs outside their home state, and pay no more than 150 percent of that institution’s resident tuition rate. For a list of participating colleges and universities click here: WUE Participating Schools.
