It's going to take work and time to apply for scholarships. Don't wait until the last minute to apply! There are thousands of scholarships. I suggest registering on one of the top scholarship sites. Neely Foundation Scholarship-Eligibility: GPA 2.5 or higher, attend an in-state college listed on their site, complete FAFSA and demonstrate financial need. Click on the link and scroll to the bottom, download the PDF application in the yellow box. Must fill out a digital application, print and submit it to Mrs. Novak.

Academic Scholarships and/or Leadership Scholarships

The PepsiCo Foundation has partnered with Maricopa Community Colleges to offer the PepsiCo Foundation Uplift Scholarship. Preference is given to Black and Hispanic students enrolled in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Advanced Manufacturing, or Automotive Technology programs. Students may enroll in traditional associate degree programs (AAS) or Certificate of Completion programs (CCL).

The goal of the Uplift program is to address minority underrepresentation in high-demand fields. If selected, you will receive support services, career readiness, and access to emergency funds to remove barriers to completing your education.

The scholarship awards up to $2,000 per academic year. You will work with a case manager each semester who will help connect you to opportunities to develop and improve your job readiness skills. You’ll have a chance to participate in mock interviews, resume preparation, internships and apprenticeships, and network with local industry professionals.

Arizona Promise Program

What is the Arizona Promise Program?

  • The Arizona Promise Program provides financial assistance for students whose federal Pell grants or other financial aid don’t cover the cost of college tuition and fees.
  • The award amount is up to the actual cost of in-state tuition, mandatory fees, and program fees after other financial aid.
  • Qualifying students are guaranteed their tuition, mandatory fees, and program fees will be fully covered.

Who is eligible for the Arizona Promise Program?

To qualify, a student must:

  • Be an Arizona resident.
  • Graduate from an Arizona high school with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 1 of senior year of high school.
  • Qualify for the maximum federal Pell Grant; timely complete the FAFSA application each year for renewal.
  • Be admitted and enroll as a first-time, full-time, on-campus degree-seeking student at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona, in the fall semester immediately following high school graduation. (Some gaps in enrollment, such as for military service, may be allowed. Please check with the universities.)

EMPLOYMENT 
Many places are looking to hire, such as grocery stores, swim schools, and restaurants. You can apply online. New positions available are posted on the job board and TV by the Career Center and on the TV in the cafeteria.   
 
Check your emails
Make sure you are logging onto your university/college student portal. Important emails and updates are being sent. If you don't log on, you could be missing out on vital information for the fall and spring.
 
Scholarships
There are several scholarships available. This is a perfect time to work on them. Use the Scholarship Search Engines to complete a profile and look for scholarships.
 
Seniors: Email your letters of acceptance and scholarship offers. Even if you are not attending that college!
 
Volunteer: Volunteering enhances your resume and lots of scholarships require community service. Click Volunteer Info on the left for organizations.
