Bell Schedule
Families, please take a moment to review our bell schedules below to help ensure students arrive on time and ready to learn each day. At our school, we are committed to maximizing every minute of instructional time and maintaining a strong "bell-to-bell" focus on learning. Students are expected to be engaged in meaningful instruction and academic activities throughout the entire class period, from the opening bell to dismissal. Thank you for partnering with us to support student success and academic excellence.
Reporting an Absence
We understand that circumstances may arise that require your student to miss a day of instruction due to illness, a medical appointment, or a family obligation. To ensure accurate attendance records, we strongly encourage families to report all absences through the ParentVUE/Parent Portal or by contacting our Attendance Office directly. Prompt communication helps us maintain student safety, provide appropriate attendance coding, and support your student's academic success.
To report an absence utilizing the automated phone line: 480.279.8000, option 2, then select option 1.
To report an absence utilizing your ParentVue account, you are encouraged to follow the directions as noted below:

Absences are classified as excused and unexcused. Per the State of Arizona, only the following reasons may be excused: Bereavement/Funeral, Chronic Illness, Doctor Note, Doctor's Appointment, Family Emergency, Illness, Religious Holiday, Vacation/Out of Town.
To help families stay informed, an automated attendance reminder call is sent each day at 5:00 p.m. regarding student absences. Absences that are not reported or updated within 24 hours will be recorded as unexcused.
Attendance Matters
At Williams Field High School, we believe that being on time is an essential habit that supports both academic success and personal growth. Arriving at school on time and getting to each class period promptly ensures that students are prepared to learn, minimizes disruptions to instruction, and helps establish responsibility and accountability.
To support these expectations, Williams Field High School has implemented a tardy policy that includes after-school detention for students who demonstrate chronic tardiness. Tardies are tracked by individual class period, and the following consequences are assigned for repeated tardies:
3rd Tardy: After-School Detention
6th Tardy: After-School Detention
9th Tardy: Saturday School
After-school detentions are held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:20 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
These consequences are not intended to punish students; rather, they are designed to help students develop habits that contribute to success in high school and beyond. Consistent attendance and punctuality are important life skills that prepare students for college, careers, and future responsibilities.
We appreciate your partnership in encouraging students to arrive on time, ready to learn, and fully engaged throughout the school day. Together, we can help every student build the habits necessary for long-term success.
Cell Phones
Bell to Bell, There Is No Cell
As a phone-free learning environment, we ask students to keep cell phones, smartwatches, and wireless earbuds secured and out of sight during instructional time. When devices are put away, classrooms are calmer, learning improves, and students have more opportunities to engage with their peers and teachers. While students may use their devices during passing periods and lunch, we encourage them to disconnect from technology and reconnect with others throughout the school day. Our goal is simple: reduce distractions, increase engagement, and create the best possible learning environment for all students.
Parent Drop-Offs
There may be occasions when your student forgets an important item at home, such as athletic equipment, a completed project, a lunch, or their assigned computer. We understand that these situations arise and appreciate your support in helping us minimize disruptions to instructional time.
To preserve valuable learning opportunities, we have designated drop-off lockers in the front lobby. When arriving on campus, please enter the front office and place the item(s) in an available locker. We encourage families to text or message their student directly so they can retrieve the item during a passing period or other appropriate time.
Thank you for partnering with us to protect instructional time while ensuring students have access to the materials they need throughout the school day.
Campus Entry and Departure
To ensure the safety of all students and the efficient flow of traffic on campus, we kindly ask families to follow our designated drop-off and pick-up procedures:
- North Side: The only area designated for parent drop-off and pick-up.
- South Side: Reserved exclusively for school buses. Please do not use this area for student drop-off or pick-up.
- Front of Campus: Reserved for our Special Education (SPED) transportation and student services. We ask that all other families avoid using the front entrance for drop-off and pick-up.
- Student Parking: Students who drive to campus must purchase a parking pass through our Bookstore Manager. After obtaining a pass, students should park in a non-assigned parking space and ensure their permit is clearly displayed and visible at all times. Proper display of the parking pass helps avoid parking citations and assists us in maintaining a safe and organized campus parking environment.
Thank you for your cooperation and partnership. By following these procedures, you help us maintain a safe, efficient, and orderly environment for all students, staff, and visitors.

By working together in partnership, we can help ensure your child receives the necessary medical care and accommodations to support their health, safety, and success at school.
If your child has a medical condition or requires health-related support during the school day, please contact our office to schedule a meeting with our Health Aide at 480.279.8015.
Thank you for your partnership and commitment to your child's well-being.
